Deliver easily accessible and understandable information on common landlord-tenant issues

The Georgia Legal Services Corporation (GLSP) identified a critical need to educate underserved individuals and communities about the foreclosure process. The primary objective was to provide easily accessible and understandable information on common landlord-tenant issues.

Additionally, there was a necessity to train pro bono attorneys, equipping them with essential knowledge to assist these underserved clients effectively. The focus for pro bono courses was to deliver concise, practical information to prepare volunteers for straightforward casework. Equally important was the goal to inspire and engage volunteers, fostering enthusiasm for their pro bono work.

Mobile-optimized eLearning approach ensured greater flexibility and accessibility

ThinkingKap developed two distinct eLearning curricula to address GLSP’s needs:

A comprehensive 4-course track designed for residents facing (or at risk of) foreclosure
A 3-course track tailored for pro bono attorneys looking to work with underserved communities.

Each course was crafted to be both detailed and accessible, ensuring that the information was easy to comprehend and retain. Recognizing that most of these individuals would access the internet primarily via their mobile phones, the courses were optimized for mobile use, ensuring a high-quality experience regardless of the device used.

A flexible, scalable blended learning solution

The pro bono attorney track presented everything an attorney needs to know to assist clients going through a foreclosure. It also helped them understand what questions need to be asked in order to formulate their strategy.

Knowledge check regarding whether the court will make the tenant pay rent

Concept were reinforced with realistic, scenario-based knowledge checks. We presented potential outcomes and the user was required to apply what they had learned to the situation.
